Adam’s Toyotas: 4Runner and Tacoma

Comments (1) Featured, Product Reviews

For Adam Hindy of Newfoundland, Canada, adventure is one of the best aspects of life. He has modified both his Toyota 4Runner and Toyota Tacoma for off-road exploring, camping trips, and any other adventures that intrigue him.

Adam, how did you become a gearhead?

For both of these builds, the 2015 Toyota 4Runner Trail Edition, and the 2017 Toyota Tacoma TRD Off-Road, my inspiration was to complement my adventurous lifestyle. The modifications are geared for the ultimate off-roading and overland camping experiences.

Although I haven’t signed up for shows, I regularly feature both on my Instagram account, @taco_can_run.

Tell us more about your Toyota's - what’s going on their hoods?

The 4Runner is a 4x4 that can easily get through trails without missing a beat, with a towing capacity of 4,700 lbs. I’ve added a Bilstein 5100 fr/rr to lift the SUV 1.75” and added Cooper ST Maxx tires.

The truck is an off-roading machine. I’ve added a Bilstein 6112 lift kit at 2.5” and front upper control arms from SPC, as well as RCI skid plates and sliders, to protect the Tacoma’s undercarriage when I’m off-roading.

What are your favourite upgrades? What are you planning on upgrading next?

Both vehicles are equipped with Borla exhausts that I purchased via TDot Performance, and I love ’em! It was an excellent buying experience. Up next: Both the SUV and truck will get C4 Lo-Pro bumpers.

We love seeing your passion for your ride! Thanks for telling us about it!
