Jonathan San-Pedro lives in Alliston, Ontario, and loves nothing more than modifying his cars to have real individuality. He displayed his first car, a Honda Civic, at the Darknights Nationals, which was a pioneering modified car show in Canada that ran from 1999 to 2006.

Jonathan, how did you become a gearhead?

My love for modifying cars started when I was 16. It’s the pride in making a common ride unique that excites me. I love seeing the finished product and its unique style.

Tell us more about your Ram 1500 SLT - what’s going on under the hood?

My car is a 2010 Dodge Ram 1500 SLT. It has Flowmaster 50 Series HD Mufflers, which are designed for Dodge trucks to increase mileage, torque, and horsepower. I added K&N 57 Series Air Intake and I upgraded the tires to 20-inch Duratracs and added 20-inch Vision Empire Rims. It also has a customized engine cover to give it an extra shot of uniqueness.

What are your favourite upgrades? 

I ordered the 2-inch Tuff Country Levelling Kit from TDot Performance and I love the look of my Ram with the lift and new tires. Another favourite is the Spyder Automotive Halo Projector headlights—they really give my truck a sleek styling.
