When Taylor Richard of Amherst, Nova Scotia, originally purchased her jeep, she hadn’t intended to upgrade it. Then slowly but surely, her and her boyfriend started purchasing parts locally to build an off-roading beast of a car that they both enjoy taking for rides.

Taylor, how did you become a gearhead?

I bought my 2017 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon stock without any modifications. At the same time, my boyfriend always dreamed of building an off-road rig. It worked out perfectly: He got to build his new toy and my Jeep looks amazing!

Tell us more about your Jeep - what’s going on under the hood?

We’ve added the following to my Jeep to increase performance:

• For the build, we’ve upgraded to a 4-inch Pro Comp Lift Kit
• We added 1 ½-inch wheel spacers and Deep Dish Pro Comp Wheels
• Mud tires (35 by 12.5)
• Angry Bird grille
